The three episodes are very different from each other, so I thought about making a little review.
I'll start with Dusk's Dawn, since it is the first fanmade episode (Double Rainboom is just the first show accurate episode, which means it uses the original characters, show accurate animations and has the same length as a normal episode)
Dusk's Dawn was uploaded on October 10th 2012 by ProjectInterlude.
First I want to start with the character design.
It seems like the characters have their hairstyles from the pony creator. This is a contrast to the body, where the ends of the lines are nice "pointy" (I hope you know what I mean^^) compared to the hair/mane/tail styles, where the ends have a not so good looking round end.
Also the colors don't quite fit the MLP universe, since they are kind of dull and darker. But they seem perfect for the story, because it is a "darker" one, instead of the usual "happy" stories.
Sadly we learn almost nothing about the characters.
The expressions of the chracters are also very special. They could use a bit more body language and facial expressions to express their feelings.
Now for the voices. For me as a non-english native it's sometimes hard to understand what the different characters are saying, because of their accents. Also the voices coulod be little bit more "cartoonier" (i don't know how to describe that
One thing I really liked was the intro. It had a nice drawing style and the song fits it quite well.
Another thing i liked was that they included the brony fandom (take a close look at 07:05
All in all it was a mediocre episode, because the animation wasn't that good and I didn't really understand the story (maybe I'm just too dumb to understand it ^^).
But because it was the first fanmade episode ever and they had no reference of another episode they deserve applause ^^
This text just represents my opinion, feel free to leave a comment wirh your opinion^^
Should i do something like this for Double Rainboom and Snowdrop too?
